Remote Access (RDP) through Horizon VDI

Note: If you’ve already installed VMware Horizon Client you can skip to Step 3 or watch a video walk-through.


Step 1: Install VMware

  1. Go to Windows Apps: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/windows
  2. Search for VMware Horizon Client.
  3. Click Get > Install > Launch.

Step 2: Add server to VMware

  1. Click the Add Server box.
  2. Enter connectvm.jefferson.edu into the box can click Connect.


Step 3: Launch the Virtual Machine

  1. Click Open under Remote Access Pool CPA, then click Open VMware Horizon Client.
  2. Wait for the desktop to open (could take a while).


Step 4: Connect to your desktop via Remote Desktop

  1. Double click the Remote Desktop icon then enter your PCS # in the box (find your PCS # here) and click Connect.
  2. If this box pops up, choose Use OneSign and check the box to remember your credentials.
  3. Login using your Campus Key and password.
  4. Login a final time using your Campus key and password. You should see your office desktop!
