Check out this tutorial on the steps students need to take, in order to successfully submit their attendance for in-person classes. Also feel free to share the attached animated GIF or video with your students.
Here are step-by-step instructions with screenshots that follow the tutorial above:
Step 1: Students click on their attendance quiz for that day. It will bring them to this screen:
Step 2: If faculty have a password assigned to each quiz, once students know what the password is, they will need to enter it here and click "submit". A text box will pop up that says they successfully submitted the access code. Next, click "Begin".
Step 3: Once students click "Begin", it will bring them to this screen with the question faculty have students answering "Are you attending class today?". Once students submit "yes", they need to click the "Submit" button.
Step 4: Students will see this screen, which shows them their test results. If they don't see this screen, saying 100% / "1 out of 1" - then it did not successfully go through. They can also go into their student grades to make sure it was recorded. If not, then they will need to refresh and submit again until they see this screen with their test results.
